Felix was still mulling it over when Everett pressed him again. "Felix, other than your father and mine, do you know anyone else who has Graham's contact information?"

"No one else," Felix replied.

Then a thought struck him. "But didn't you say Ms. Lancaster had met Graham before? She might have his number."

"If speaking with Mr. Bellamy could solve everything, wouldn't she have contacted him herself by now?"

Everett nodded. "I considered that too. But since she's directly involved, it wouldn't be proper for her to reach out to Mr. Bellamy just to inquire about Gabriel, would he?"

His thoughtfulness surprised even himself. Perhaps he cared more about Selene than he realized.

"Never mind," Everett sighed. "I'll ask around elsewhere."

"Alright."

The fact that Camille was also one of Graham's students wasn't public knowledge - which meant it was confidential. Felix couldn't share that with Everett even if he wanted to.

After a pause, Felix added, "I've interacted with Camille several times. She doesn't strike me as the person you're describing."

"Everett, are you absolutely certain this whole situation arose because Camille feared Gabriel might develop feelings for Ms. Lancaster? Could there be some misunderstanding?"

"Why don't you speak with Ms. Lancaster or others to clarify what actually happened between them?"

Everett's expression darkened. "Felix, whose side are you on?"

"I'm just stating facts."

But Everett believed Felix had been deceived by Camille. "There's no misunderstanding. I witnessed it firsthand. How could I be mistaken? You should be wary of appearances."

He changed the subject abruptly. "Let's drop this. When you're free, let's meet up."

With work still pending, Felix didn't press further. He ended the call.

Meanwhile, Selene waited outside NovaSight Labs, but Camille and Gabriel completely ignored her presence - leaving her standing there like a fool.

Yet Selene remained determined.

However, an important midday appointment forced her to leave when Gabriel still hadn't emerged.

For the next two days, work commitments prevented her from returning to NovaSight Labs.

Come Thursday, just as she found time to visit again, a court summons arrived.

Giselle was livid. "A court summons already? After just a few days? They're really pushing to terminate the contract!"

"And the court accepted such a trivial case? What kind of joke is this legal system?"

With the case officially filed, unless Gabriel withdrew the lawsuit, they'd have no choice but to proceed to trial.

Frustrated as she was, even Giselle recognized the situation had reached a point of no return.

Suddenly, Helena suggested, "What if we approach the Ashcroft family about this?"

They'd always believed that since Camille had been married with a child, the Ashcroft family would never accept her relationship with Gabriel.

Gabriel's recent blind date with a suitable socialite seemed to confirm this theory.

If the family learned she was letting personal grudges interfere with Gabriel's business partnerships, they'd likely disapprove.

Under such family pressure, Gabriel might withdraw the lawsuit.

Selene immediately grasped her mother's implication.

It was a viable strategy.

Besides Gabriel, she didn't know any Ashcroft family members. But Damien did.

She dialed Damien immediately.

After hearing her plan, Damien said, "I'll try contacting someone from the Ashcroft family soon."

Giselle approved the strategy.

Just imagining the Ashcroft family's potential anger and Gabriel cutting ties with Camille thrilled her.

But then a realization struck. "Why didn't Damien think of approaching the Ashcroft family earlier?"

Selene lowered her gaze. "He and Camille are still legally married. The Ashcroft family likely knows about their situation."

"It wouldn't be appropriate for him to bring this up directly. Someone else should handle it."

Giselle smirked. "Fair point."
