Damien casually suggested, "Why don't we grab lunch together? My treat."

Gabriel had zero interest in dining with him. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm exhausted today. I'll just grab something quick from the company cafe. You're welcome to do whatever you prefer."

Damien flashed his charming smile. "The cafe sounds perfect actually. Mind if we join you?"

Gabriel couldn't refuse.

Ten minutes later, they entered The Meridian's corporate cafeteria.

The arrival of the company CEO - combined with Damien's striking good looks - immediately drew all eyes toward them.

Camille was already seated at a table, deep in conversation with Declan Vaughn from R&D. She didn't notice Gabriel's entrance.

It wasn't until she heard gasps and murmurs that she glanced up - only to see not just Gabriel, but Damien Harrington himself standing there.

Hearing the commotion, Declan turned to look as well.

Gabriel, Damien, and Colin all noticed Camille and Declan sitting together.

Seeing Camille engaged in what appeared to be an intimate conversation with another man, Damien showed no reaction whatsoever.

Gabriel's gaze briefly met Camille's. A silent understanding passed between them - she would stay out of this, and he'd handle the situation.

Camille simply nodded and looked away.

From the moment Gabriel agreed to this collaboration, he'd planned to shield Camille from any unnecessary interactions with Damien.

After collecting their food, Gabriel deliberately chose a table on the opposite side of the cafeteria.

Damien made no objection.

Throughout the meal, Damien never once glanced in Camille's direction.

Colin, however, stole several looks at her. He'd heard rumors about Camille and Gabriel, though he wasn't sure what to believe.

Earlier that morning, Camille had been ice-cold toward Damien. Now she acted like he didn't exist.

She'd clearly moved on.

What surprised him more was Damien's complete indifference to seeing Camille with another man.

But then again, it shouldn't have.

Colin had witnessed firsthand Damien's contempt for Camille - and his undying devotion to Selene Lancaster.

With that thought, he finally stopped watching her.

By the time Gabriel and Damien finished eating, Camille had already left.

Damien departed The Meridian around 3 PM for another appointment. The collaboration details still needed finalizing.

Over the next several days, Damien returned to The Meridian multiple times. But aside from that first brief encounter, he and Camille never crossed paths again.

To any outside observer, they appeared to be complete strangers.

Only Gabriel knew the truth - that these two were actually married. As news of the Calder Group-Meridian partnership spread through the company, whispers followed.
